Our history

Stark and Sons is a Parisian bespoke tailor established in Paris since 1910. Three generations of tailors succeed one another, allowing the now century-old family business to gracefully cross the ages and is one of the great Excellence of French Know-How (“Entreprise du patrimoine Vivant”) (EPV).

“Tailor of the Republic” for General de Gaulle, great maker of the “Habit Vert” for members of the French Academy, Stark and Sons takes a new turn in 2014 after the disappearance of Mr. Alain Stark.

With Charles and Julien, sons of the master tailor Marc de Luca, Stark and Sons is fed by an ambitious project in the definition of a new line. Two years of work were necessary for this real metamorphosis, leading the house to find its direction and cut as a decidedly … Parisian style now by the name of ATELIER DE LUCA.

The Mesure by Atelier De Luca

Atelier de Luca makes the key pieces of the men’s wardrobe. The “Mesure ADL” remains a top-of-the-range refine craft-made thought by the actors of the bespoke tailors. Each pattern is unique, drawn on paper and completed with the patterns adjustment. A new ambitious offer is starting, the alliance of hand craft know-how most successful with the flexibility of machine manufacturing processes.
